When you use the Book Oracle, the text you enter (book titles and mood preferences) is sent to our AI service to generate your recommendation. We do not store this input or link it to any personal identifier.

We may collect standard server logs including IP addresses and browser information for security and performance purposes. These are not used to identify individual users.

What we don't collect

• We do not require you to create an account
• We do not collect your name or email address unless you voluntarily provide it
• We do not use tracking cookies or advertising pixels
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties

Third party services

FantasyFiction.com uses the following third party services to operate:

• Anthropic — powers our AI Book Oracle. Your query text is sent to Anthropic's API to generate recommendations. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this data.
• Cloudflare — hosts our website and handles traffic. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies.
• Open Library / Google Books — used to retrieve book cover images.

Cookies

FantasyFiction.com does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. Basic session cookies may be used for site functionality only.

Children's privacy

FantasyFiction.com is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Search Data

We collect anonymised search queries and filter selections to understand what fantasy readers are looking for and improve our recommendations. This data is processed by Google Analytics and is not linked to your identity. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Affiliate Disclosure

FantasyFiction.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

When you click on a book title or cover image and make a purchase on Amazon, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. This helps keep FantasyFiction.com free to use. Our AI recommendations are never influenced by affiliate relationships — we recommend books based purely on what we think you'll love.
